About DBS Foundation

Since its establishment in 2014, the DBS Foundation has been dedicated to improving the lives and well-being of those in need. Not only does DBS provide daily necessities, but it also promotes financial and digital skill development to foster social inclusion. Simultaneously, it actively supports innovative social enterprises that create a positive impact. The DBS Foundation hopes to create opportunities and bring hope to those with limited resources, so that no one is left behind and we can all face the future with confidence.

In 2024, the DBS Group further committed to investing SG$1 billion (approximately NT$24 billion) over the next decade to support disadvantaged groups. At the same time, it also pledged to contribute over 1.5 million hours of volunteer service over the same period.

With ageing societies becoming a pressing concern, DBS Foundation is intensifying efforts to shape mindsets and spark interventions – so that regardless of life stage or circumstance, there is opportunity to age with dignity, purpose and joy.

Together with a shared ecosystem of like-minded philanthropic partners, the DBS Foundation seeks to create a positive impact that transcends the banking industry, borders, and generations.

About The Garden of Hope Foundation

Founded in 1988, The Garden of Hope Foundation began with a belief: every survivor deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to rebuild life on their own terms. Initially, it started by creating safe houses to help young Taiwanese women who had survived human trafficking, supporting them on their journey toward independence and hope. Over the past three decades, it has expanded to address gender-based violence in all its formsincluding domestic violence and sexual assault. Currently, it operates in more than 50 service centers across 15 counties and cities in Taiwan, supporting nearly 20,000 survivors annually, helping them escape the effects of violence and start new lives.

  • Since 2011, The Garden of Hope Foundation has launched hotlines and shelter services to assist migrant workers facing hardships in Taiwan.

  • In 2020, a Migrant Service Center was established, expanding support to migrant workers, their children, international students, and migrant professionals. To date, The Garden of Hope has assisted over 1,000 migrant workers and delivered more than 6,000 professional consultations.

The Garden of Hope believes Taiwan is not just a place to work, but also a place where everyone can feel safe, supported, and empowered to pursue their dreams.

Guided by the core values of respect and dignity, The Garden of Hope collaborates with international organizations, government agencies, professional groups, business partners, and migrant communities to promote a more inclusive society. We aim to ensure that every friend living in Taiwan, regardless of nationality, can thrive.

HCHS: A Sustainable Shared Care Ecosystem

No one should ever walk the journey of caregiving alone. We firmly believe that only when those being cared for, migrant workers, and employing families receive stable support can families find lasting peace of mind and society continue to move forward.

The HCHS Project is more than just a service; it is an empowerment ecosystem built on technology and humanity, dedicated to fostering mutual trust and collective well-being among all three parties. We recognize the dedication and stress of every caregiver, and we understand every family's desire for trust and stability.

We believe that true, lasting change comes from recognizing each other's needs and building a stable network of mutual trust.
